Research Interests:
Jack Arbuthnot has testified before state and national legislatures, offered
expert testimony in over two dozen criminal and civil cases, and served
on numerous state and national agencies and boards. He served as a consulting
editor for two of the American Psychological Association's most prestigious
journals, Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology and Psychological
Assessment, and is currently on the editorial board of Family and Conciliation
Courts Review. With Dr. Donald Gordon, also in the Intervention Design
and Outcome Evaluation program, Dr. Arbuthnot has developed award-winning
video-based educational interventions for divorcing parents and children
that are in use in over 1500 locations worldwide. He was a member of family
mediation delegations to the People's Republic of China, Russia, and Poland,
and was leader of the latter two. His research evaluating interventions
for divorcing families is locally, nationally, and internationally recognized
and has provided direct benefits to the many divorcing families in our
community and across the country.
